In the current “Antimicrobial Resistance Week”, the Austrian Pharmaceutical Industry Association (Pharmig) is drawing attention to the increasing health threat.
On the one hand, the medication has less effect because of excessive use and, on the other hand, because it is taken incorrectly. According to the WHO, it is important to use antibiotics sparingly. Furthermore, they should not be discontinued too early.
