An unknown skier lost his footing and slid downhill. He hit the eleven-year-old Polish girl, who also fell and slid head first down the valley. She in turn hit a 24-year-old German who fell sideways out of the lift. The person who caused the accident has not yet been identified.
The police are asking for information from any witnesses. After the collision with the German, the eleven-year-old slipped further before she came to rest. She was seriously injured in her back and thigh. The rescue helicopter flew them to the Innsbruck clinic, the police said in a release.
