The accident occurred on December 1st around 5 p.m., it was already dark. The student was crossing Schärdinger Straße in the town of Diesseiten (municipality of St. Martin im Innkreis) to get to the sidewalk opposite. She was hit by a car and suffered minor injuries to her right foot. The car driver then stopped and asked if everything was okay with the 14-year-old. According to the police, she was still in shock and therefore stated that she was uninjured. The driver then drove on.
Because of the pain that appeared later, her mother took her to the Ried im Innkreis hospital.
Call the police
The driver of the car, her passenger and witnesses were asked to report to the police on Friday afternoon. The search was successful – in the evening the police reported that the driver had come forward.
