The Leonfeldner Kantorei will be bringing a musical summons to a court hearing to the stage in February with the comic operetta “Trial by Jury – Love in Court” as its Austrian premiere. Kantorei choir director William Mason has translated the material into German, aiming for both the hearts and the laughing muscles of the audience.
The performance of the operetta forms the focus of the choir’s carnival performances, which are scheduled for three consecutive days. The main roles are played by Tabea Mitterbauer as the young plaintiff, Valentina Kutzerova as her lawyer, Conor Prendeville as the cunning lover and defendant and Guido Bähr as the judge. The choir takes on the roles of jurors and bridesmaids, as well as some solo parts. Elias Gillesberger is once again on the keys as an accomplished pianist.
After the break, the choir has a selection of musicals, spirituals and popular tunes on the program. The game will be played from February 2nd to 4th in the Haus am Ring. Ticket reservations on 0664 / 736 737 86 or by email to [email protected]
