In Obernberg am Inn (Ried im Innkreis district) a family dispute escalated in the morning hours. At around three in the morning the police and SWAT Cobra alerted to the residential building. The father of the family is said to have been attacked with a knife by his 22-year-old son.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body. After receiving initial care from the emergency doctor, the victim was taken to the hospital in Ried im Innkreis. There the man died from his serious injuries. A woman is also said to have been slightly injured. The perpetrator was arrested.
Further details behind the bloody act are not yet known.
