Before the kickers from Bundesliga soccer team FC Blau-Weiß Linz leave for Turkey for training camp tomorrow, coach Gerald Scheiblehner’s team celebrated a test match victory today in freezing temperatures: Linz won against regional league team Gurten 2-0. Kristijan Dobras (6th) and Stefan Holiday (80th) scored the goals for Blue-White.

“As we did against Wallern, we implemented what we discussed very well today. The opponent was unable to create a real scoring opportunity throughout the entire game and that was our focus today – simply defend deeper, not allowing any space and using transition moments to score. We implemented that really well and were very disciplined, especially in defense,” said BW coach Gerald Scheiblehner with satisfaction after the second winter test match.
