Well prepared and motivated to the core, the two teams from the Good Shepherd European High School took part in the Upper Austrian regional competition of the “First Lego League” at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz. At this annual competition, robotics teams have the chance to demonstrate their programming and design skills in the “Robot Game” and “Robot Design” categories.
The two robotics teams “Eurobot” and “Eurobot Rookies” from the lower school level of the European high school had been preparing for this challenge since the beginning of this school year and not only often stayed at school longer, but also used some Saturdays for additional training with them Lego robots programmed by them.
A commitment that was rewarded at the regional competition: Team Eurobot was able to impress with its teamwork and cohesion and won first prize in the “Basic Values” category. The Eurobot Rookies team can be no less proud of their achievements: With a creative but also technically stable robot, the rookies in “robot design” also placed at the top of the twelve participating teams.
