On Friday morning around 9:30 a.m., the Pasching police station received a call from a worried woman.
The 31-year-old from the Grieskirchen district was sitting in her car at the time, with a van in front of her. She noticed this because of the worrying driving style: the driver of the van had already driven around a traffic sign.

Officers from the “Pasching 1” patrol were able to stop the vehicle on Thurnhartinger Straße in Pasching. The driver was a 23-year-old Afghan national from Linz. His driver’s license had already been revoked, so he was driving without a valid driving license. He also showed symptoms of substance abuse.
Sedative morphine in urine
The 23-year-old was accompanied by officers to the Pasching police station, where a urine test was carried out. The drug test came back positive – the man had apparently consumed the sedative morphine. The 23-year-old refused a request for a clinical examination.
The drug driver has to expect several consequences: his driver’s license was temporarily taken away and he will be reported. The vehicle key was taken from him.
