The 52-year-old climbed onto the roof of his home at lunchtime to repair damage caused by the storm. For reasons that are still unclear, the man fell to the concrete floor.
He was able to use his cell phone to call two acquaintances who alerted the rescue team. One of the two, a direct neighbor, immediately rushed to the injured 52-year-old’s aid.
To the hospital with a rescue helicopter
After receiving initial care from the emergency doctor, the 52-year-old was flown to the accident hospital in Linz in the “Christophorus 10” rescue helicopter.
