By midnight at the latest, the dance floor was full of “dancing queens”: the show quartet “The Magic of ABBA” entered the stage and sang the hits of the Swedish cult band, the ballroom of the Palais Kaufmännischer Verein in Linz filled with pure joy of life. Both those whose youth influenced ABBA and today’s youth were carried away.

The Nordic charm ran through the entire evening. The Young Women’s and Young Men’s Committee provided the start for this Horn Dance School: A waltz was danced to the music of Nils Holgersson, after which the young dancing couples surprised everyone with an interlude to “Hey Pippi Longstocking”.

Around 1,800 guests celebrated a ball night in Scandinavian style on Saturday, organized by the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the Commercial Association. Under the motto “Alla valser! “En svensk dans” invited the hosts – WKOÖ Vice President Clemens Malina AltzingerKV President Andreas ZwettlerKV Ball Committee Chairwoman Elke Riemenschneider and KV managing director Rafael Hintersteiner – to the 73rd KV ball.

DJ duo as ABBA doubles
The DJ duo already mingled at the champagne reception Karl Weixelbaumer and Pascal Kitzmüller (2:tages:bart) among the guests of honor. As doubles of ABBA stars Benny and Björn, they encouraged their interviewees to sing along, among other things State Governor Thomas Stelzer and Bettina Wögerer-Stelzer. The Scandinavian influence was reflected in the bars and the buffet: party+guest treated the ball guests to Swedish minced meatballs – Köttbullar – and Nordic cocktails. But local specialties were also not neglected: the Alberndorfer spirits distiller Peter Affenzeller served his “Fine Austrian Spirits”.
