The starting point of the whole thing may have been disputes over the will, in the course of which the defendant fell out with her family.

After her company went bankrupt, the woman’s anger was also directed at the Chamber of Commerce, which she felt had let her down. She addressed a commercial councilor via Facebook and WhatsApp with equally hearty and unpleasant words. “These were attempts at contact as part of my conflict management,” said the defendant. She felt “helpless” at the time and might have said “one or two insults at a late hour”: “But I didn’t insult him!” The defendant even demanded a commission from another official, whom she called “Kanaille,” among other things, and backed up her demand with blatant death threats. “The wording was inappropriate. I was offended. I probably overreacted.”

She was completely unreasonable about the allegations coming from her own family. In this regard, the public prosecutor was able to rely on the results of a call data retrieval, which showed that the woman had carried out real telephone terror on her relatives. “These are tirades of calls,” judge Martina Krainz accused the defendant of. “You have literally bombarded your daughter and her sister with calls.” The defense attorney denied this, saying that the intensity and duration of the calls were not sufficient to be able to speak of an unreasonable interference with one’s lifestyle. His client made the phone call “out of powerlessness, out of anger.”

Will was changed

In 2021, the defendant had to learn that her elderly mother had had her will changed. Her inheritance was reduced by half because she allegedly did not take sufficient care of her mother. Her sister is said to have largely taken over this. The will was allegedly changed primarily at the instigation of the defendant’s daughter, who “dragged her grandmother to the notary,” as the defendant claimed: “She (the testator, note) was taken by surprise.” She then “wanted to talk” to her daughter and sister. She doesn’t know exactly how often or that she didn’t leave them alone for two years: “I can’t remember exactly, that was so long ago.”
