The Austrian citizen is said to have rioted in the 19-year-old’s room and knocked over a box, causing several items to break. When the two officers arrived, the young man opened the door to the room with a knife in his waistband. During a clarifying conversation, the 18-year-old became increasingly abusive and appeared increasingly aggressive towards the uniformed officers.
Without warning, the young man punched an officer in the face and resisted arrest. As a result, the other police officer also suffered injuries. The young man was released on the orders of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office.
