From the 77th minute onwards, the 1-0 win at fifth-placed Tottenham turned into a 1-3 defeat. Meanwhile, thanks to a last-minute goal from Darwin Nunez (99th) in Nottingham (1-0), Liverpool extended their lead over Manchester City to four points, at least until Sunday. The rival is challenged in the derby against United.

A week after Glasner’s 3-0 debut win against Burnley, Tottenham also caused major problems for a long time and were even on the way to a derby surprise after a free-kick goal from Eberechi Eze (59th). But then Timo Werner’s first goal marked the turnaround for Spurs. Cristian Romero (80th) and captain Son Heung-min (88th) finally made the Londoners’ victory perfect.
