According to a police statement, unknown female people attempted to tear down the Israeli flag from the City Temple in downtown Vienna on Saturday night. However, the flag was not damaged as a result of the incident.
A relevant case had already been reported on Friday. A man filed a police report after observing two young people tearing down a flag of Jewish faith at the “Campus of Religions” in Vienna-Donaustadt. They are also said to have spat on them and stepped on them.
Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
