“The late winning goal for Perg in the 92nd minute,” answers Luksch when asked what he remembers from the first leg. That was last August. Tomorrow St. Martin has the chance to take revenge. Luksch: “Perg is a team that is not easy to play against. But we definitely want to win the home game.” The start last weekend in St. Valentin went perfectly: the sixth-place team won 2-0. “The first half hour in particular was quite good and very effective,” says Luksch.
While St. Martin got off to a great start, Perg lost 0-1 against Bad Leonfelden at the start of the second half of the season. Nevertheless, Perg’s coach Jürgen Prandstätter was not dissatisfied with his team’s performance. “The game was difficult. We tried everything, but our evaluation of chances has to be much better.” The grapes for a victory in St. Martin are hanging high. “It will be a very difficult task for us, the pitches don’t allow for real football at the moment, it will be a physical game.”
After the success in Perg, Bad Leonfelden can go one better tomorrow in front of their own crowd against Dietach. A difficult task also awaits SPG Pregarten today in the home game against leaders Oedt.
In the East Regional League, autumn champions Rohrbach-Berg took advantage of the competition’s mistakes with a 1-0 win against Traun. Tomorrow it’s against SPG St. Florian/Niederneukirchen.
