A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday around 7:50 p.m. in the municipality of St. Martin im Mühlkreis. A 37-year-old from Linz was driving his car on the Landshaager state road towards St. Martin. In the Unterhart area he wanted to overtake another car and swerved into the opposite lane.

At that moment, a 42-year-old from the Rohrbach district came towards him in his car. When the cars collided, the 37-year-old was seriously injured and the 42-year-old and his seven-year-old son were slightly injured. The force of the impact between the two vehicles was so great that parts of the vehicle came to rest up to 160 meters away.
