An initially unknown person smashed the glass of the entrance door of a bistro box in Bad Hall on Friday around 9 p.m. He and his companion then got into a silver car and fled in an unknown direction. Witnesses to the crime described the man to the police. This immediately led the officers to suspect that it was a 19-year-old from the Linz-Land district. A little later, the police found the 19-year-old at the entrance door to his home.
Use of marijuana and cocaine
The young man immediately confessed and cited a panic attack as the motive. In the meantime, another patrol searched for the getaway vehicle and was only able to stop the car a short time later. The police found narcotic drugs in the car and the 20-year-old driver also showed very unusual behavior. He immediately admitted to using marijuana and cocaine.
After the clinical examination, which determined that he was unfit to drive, the police took away his driver’s license. Both will be reported to the Linz public prosecutor’s office and the 20-year-old will also be reported to the Linz-Land district administration. The bistro box was significantly damaged.
