The police were alerted by a witness shortly before 11:30 p.m., who checked the car described and the 21-year-old passenger in a shopping center parking lot. A blank gun and several blank cartridges were seized, the police said.

A provisional weapons ban was issued against the 21-year-old. Reports of administrative offenses will follow.
