The history of the “Zur Mühle” inn goes back to the 15th century, when grain from the Ennstal was ground here. But when the last landlord, Ferdinand Törö, retired a few months ago, he had to close the “mill”.
The market community started a Leader project to bring the institution back to life. At the end of February, the population was invited to a dialogue evening to contribute ideas for future use. The approximately 40 participants also visited the old inn and agreed: It is in better condition than feared. They then made concrete suggestions for future use. Further suggestions can be left at the municipal office until Easter.
The ideas are now being discussed in the community to find the best solution. Hallstatt is supported by spatial planner Claudia Schönegger and architect Richard Steger.
The future concept will be presented publicly and put up for discussion in the fall.
