The younger of the two burglars who were caught in the early hours of Wednesday morning is only 22 years old. A break-in in Thalheim was fatal for the Czech citizens: the police were alerted at 4:19 a.m. – at 4:50 a.m. the handcuffs clicked.

The police were able to stop the getaway car near the crime scene. Because, on the one hand, clearly stolen goods and, on the other hand, burglary tools were found in the car and a witness also incriminated the 22-year-old and the 27-year-old, the young men were arrested and taken to the Wels prison.
During the course of the interviews it came to light that the Czechs were probably also connected to several burglaries in underground car parks. Apart from that, they were mainly interested in winter sports equipment and car tires.
The police have so far identified 3 victims. However, it is not yet clear how much material damage there is in total. The investigation is ongoing.
