The search had already begun yesterday, and today at 7:51 a.m. the first of what are now 11 fire departments from the area deployed to support the police.
The 87-year-old was last seen on Easter Sunday at 3 p.m. when he set off on foot from his house in Weyer towards Großraming. Since then there has been no trace of the pensioner. He is wearing a gray jacket and low shoes.
If anyone sees the man, who is seriously suffering from dementia, the police ask them to come forward.
