As the police reported, the driver accelerated as the jogger crossed Pestalozzistrasse on the green light at Schutzweg. The 35-year-old jogger was thrown to the ground in the collision and was then taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Villach police are asking any other witnesses to the incident to come forward.
