Ebner (49) was born in Linz and studied medicine in Vienna. After his rotational training, he worked at the former Linz General Hospital, first in the neurology department and later in the 2nd internal department. There he also completed his specialist training in internal medicine as well as specialist training in endocrinology/diabetology and nephrology. Ebner is currently completing specialist training in geriatrics.
He has been heading the internal medicine department in Rohrbach on an interim basis since October 2023. Before that, he worked at the Kepler University Hospital as deputy director of the Internal 2 Clinic. Ebner has been focusing on the topics of diabetes and metabolic diseases for almost 20 years. He lives with his wife and two children in Linz. In his free time he performs in concerts, among other things, as a double bass player. He also likes going to the theater. And various trips always take him to his favorite holiday destination: southern Italy.
