For its diverse activities at the Mobility Week in September, the city of Wels has now been awarded the Upper Austria. Mobility Prize awarded. A total of 162 Upper Austrian municipalities took part in the campaign by the Upper Austrian Climate Alliance and the state’s infrastructure department and encouraged a switch to climate-friendly mobility. For the expansion of the cycling network, free summer cycling courses for children and free use of the evening buses with an original music program for mobility, the Wels team won an e-bike worth 1,700 euros, which was provided by Linz AG; it will be used as a job bike in the future. Wels City Councilor for Mobility Stefan Ganzert (SP) accepted the award.
