In the town of Perwolfing (municipality of Rohrbach-Berg) on Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m., a car came off the B127 in a curve. “The wet road conditions were probably the reason for the accident,” said district fire brigade commander Thomas Stockinger.

The vehicle crashed over a stone wall into the front yard of a single-family home and ended up on its side. The driver was trapped. After being rescued with hydraulic rescue equipment, the injured driver was flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter. His pregnant passenger was also injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The B127 was reopened to traffic around 3:30 p.m. after the fire department’s cleanup work. According to Stockinger, a total of around 60 firefighters from FF Rohrbach, FF Perwolfing and FF Oepping were on duty.
