A motorcycle ride ended up in the hospital on the holiday for a 41-year-old and his 34-year-old passenger, both from the Grieskirchen district. The two of them were traveling with a group of motorcyclists on the B122 when the driver made a serious driving mistake near the town of Heiligenkreuz.
When attempting to overtake in a right-hand bend, the rear wheel slipped slightly, the machine drove onto the curb and hit two guide blocks. The 41-year-old could no longer control the motorcycle and fell.
Cared for by the emergency doctor
He and his girlfriend on the pillion, who had filmed the ride, were so seriously injured that they had to be treated by an emergency doctor. Both were taken to the clinic in Wels for further treatment, the police said on Wednesday afternoon.

Just on Tuesday there was a serious motorcycle accident in the municipality of Weyregg am Attersee (Vöcklabruck district). A motorcycle collided with a car on the B152, causing two young men aged 20 and 22 to sustain serious injuries.
