Rescue and police were on duty in the municipality of Hartkirchen (Eferding district) on Thursday afternoon: According to the police, an 83-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on a protective path. The pensioner wanted to cross the street at around 3:15 p.m., but a 74-year-old driver from Wels probably noticed them too late.
When the woman got off the sidewalk onto the protective path, the car hit the woman with the outside mirror. As a result, she fell and sustained such serious injuries that she had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
