Master brewer Pumberger also takes over management in Neufelden

After twelve years as managing director of the Neufelden organic brewery, Alois Meir will hand over the reins to master brewer Tobias Pumberger at the summer beer tapping on May 30th in Neufelden. “The decisions have to be made by those who are on site in the company every day. This is the only way to react quickly to changes and to keep the brewery fit for the future,” says Alois Meir, who as owner remains involved in strategic decisions. “I have trust and a good feeling when I place the management of the brewery in Tobias Pumberger’s hands,” says the owner. Tobias Pumberger, master brewer in Neufelden for four years, is looking forward to his new task. He will take on the management tasks with heart and passion and continue to brew unique beers with his team. “His strategic foresight and his dedication to the beer industry will help to continue the successful course of the Neufelden organic brewery as a regional, sustainable and family-run company,” the owner is convinced.

Master brewer full of ideas

Tobias Pumberger already has plans for the future: For example, the ramp sales – currently every first Thursday of the month – are to be expanded. The range of tours in the brewery, including beer tastings, is also impressive: from standard to gourmet tours to a stilt tour, the offer is extensive and the insight into the brewery is exciting.

Alois Meir founded the Neufelden organic brewery twelve years ago and, despite a difficult initial period, developed it into what it is today: Upper Austria’s first pure organic brewery that refines regional ingredients into unique organic beers with real Mühlviertel character.

The tapping of the summer beer will take place on Thursday, May 30th at 5 p.m. in the Neufeldner organic brewery.

Together with the Neufelden Volunteer Fire Department, bratwursts, fries, coffee and cake are served with music from Närrisch Brass of the Neufelden Music Association and of course the summer beer is served – a light, natural organic märzen with 4.6 percent alcohol content by volume.
