After a 13-year-old was injured in a collision with line 4 in Leonding on Wednesday, a similar accident occurred on Thursday at the Peuerbachstrasse stop in Urfahr.
A boy – according to initial information he was a 14-year-old – wanted to cross the tracks on his bike around 1:30 p.m. He must have missed the tram. During the collision, the teenager was pushed to the ground and remained injured. He got off lightly, the state police headquarters said in the evening.
In addition to the rescue, the Linz professional fire department was also on site, shielding the injured from onlookers. “So that no cell phone videos are made,” says the operations manager.
The operation was over at 2:30 p.m. “Thank God the guy wasn’t trapped,” said the fire department.
