The 44-year-old German was driving his car on the Kälbermooser-Landesstrasse towards Ostermiething around 10:30 p.m. Suddenly the driver of his vehicle left the road to the right. He drove about 100 meters in a field and crashed into a drainage ditch. Residents of a nearby house witnessed the accident and alerted the emergency services.

The 44-year-old, who was uninjured in the accident, said he was trying to avoid a deer that had crossed the road. An alcohol test showed 0.8 per mille. The man’s driver’s license was temporarily confiscated. The badly damaged car was removed by a towing service.
