SK BMD Vorwärts Steyr returned home from the penultimate away game of the regional league season in St. Anna/Aigen without gaining any points. The Red-Whites lost the expectedly difficult game against the Southeast Styrians 1-2 after leading 1-0 at the break.
“Unfortunately we still lack consistency over the entire 90 minutes,” said coach Markus Eitl afterwards. “We deservedly took the lead and should have made it 2-0, but then the quick equalizer after the break changed the game.”
Vorwärts had their first chance after just ten minutes, but Alvaro Collazo missed the goal while standing alone. But St. Anna also came dangerously in front of Valerian Hüttner’s goal several times. In the 29th minute, Milan Ziric scored his seventh goal of the season to make it 1-0 for the red-whites. Immediately after the restart, Oliver narrowly missed Filip. Instead, Christoph Kobald equalized for St. Anna (58th) and also scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute.
