The innocent family man is said to have sold 17 kilos of cocaine and six kilos of cannabis as a member of a drug gang from 2020 to 2024, Vorarlberg media reported. He also has to pay the state the purchase price of the drugs of around 800,000 euros. The jury’s verdict is not legally binding.
The jury based its guilty verdict primarily on chat logs from a crypto messenger service. The accused pretrial prisoner pleaded guilty to possessing 18 cannabis plants and did not provide any further information.

The judge said that in Tyrol and Vorarlberg the principle of “hard drugs, harsh punishments” is used. The defendant caused a lot of suffering with the drugs he sold. The defendant and the public prosecutor took three days to think about it, so the verdict is not final.
In January, twelve men were arrested for allegedly selling around 100 kilograms of cocaine and around half a ton of marijuana in a drug ring. One of them was the 30-year-old. In the first trial against a member of the drug gang last week, a 31-year-old, also with no criminal record, was not legally sentenced to eight years in prison for selling 13 kilos of cocaine and 26 kilos of marijuana.
