A previously unknown perpetrator posed as a good-looking woman via a social media platform and contacted the 35-year-old. During the course of a conversation, he persuaded the Carinthian to perform sexual acts in front of a running video camera.
The perpetrator later claimed to have recorded everything and blackmailed the man, as the police announced in a press release. The perpetrator demanded several thousand euros, otherwise he would publish the video on social media. The Carinthian transferred a low four-figure sum. After the perpetrator demanded further transfers, the 35-year-old reported the incident to the police.
