It was a 68-year-old from the Neunkirchen district who was reported missing on Wednesday evening, said police spokesman Raimund Schwaigerlehner when asked. According to Erich Habitzl from the Wiener Neustadt public prosecutor’s office, the post-mortem examination will follow on Thursday. A decision will be made afterwards as to whether there will be an autopsy.
Habitzl emphasized that third-party negligence can neither be confirmed nor ruled out for the time being and is the subject of the review. The body was found by passers-by on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., the “Kurier” reported.
