Another serious accident occurred at a construction site in Upper Austria: After a 54-year-old man from Kollerschlag fell to his death at a construction site in Kirchdorf an der Krems on Monday, an 18-year-old man sustained serious injuries during construction work in the city of Linz on Tuesday.

Fell from 3rd floor
The young man from Luftenberg (Perg district) was working on electrical installations in a loggia in Lederergasse when the accident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. For reasons that are still unclear, the worker fell from the third floor along with the wooden ladder he was standing on and hit his head on the concrete floor. The exact circumstances of the accident were not yet known.
Resuscitated by rescue workers
Work colleagues immediately alerted the emergency services. The man from Mühlviertel sustained such serious injuries in the fall that he had to be resuscitated on the spot by Red Cross paramedics, police announced on Tuesday evening. Accompanied by the emergency doctor, he was taken to a hospital.
Only the day before, a man from Mühlviertel had – as reported – fallen nine metres on a construction site in Kirchdorf. Any help came too late for the 54-year-old, who succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
