Defenders Jusuf Gazibegovic and Gregory Wüthrich as well as the midfield block Jon Gorenc Stankovic, Otar Kiteishvili and Alexander Prass made it into the team of the year. Vice champions Salzburg and Hartberg each have two professionals, LASK and Rapid one each.
In goal, national player Tobias Lawal from LASK received the most votes, while Red Bull Salzburg’s central defender Strahinja Pavlovic and top scorer Karim Konate were considered. Surprise team Hartberg is represented by left-back Manuel Pfeifer and striker Maximilian Entrup, while midfielder Marco Grüll is flying the flag for Rapid.
For Wüthrich it was the third nomination in a row, and for teammate Gorenc Stankovic it is also the third time. Prass and Pavlovic were also in the team of the season last year.
