Three people swept away by river in northern Italy

In May of last year there was also flooding in Italy (here in Lugo near Ravenna) after heavy rain.

A man and two women aged between 17 and 25 were in Premariacco, not far from the river, when they were caught in the water, rescue units reported. Helicopters and rescue teams from the Udine Civil Protection Department took part in the search. Severe storms raged across the Friuli region on Friday. Flooding occurred in several cities, including the region’s capital, Trieste.
