The Help Mobile has been filling a gap in healthcare for ten years now. It stops at three locations in Linz twice a week and offers homeless people and other people seeking help, primarily basic medical care, but also food, drinks, sleeping bags and groceries. Last year, 3,345 contacts with 545 different people were counted; this year, 418 people have already been helped.

In 2023 alone, 4,951 packs of medicines were distributed.”We want to support people who are on the fringes of society with low-threshold access to basic medical care and at the same time give them dignity and attention,” says Paul Reinthaler, district office manager of the Linz Red Cross.
