Where is what market experts call the “unique selling point” of the Kalkalpen National Park? In a nutshell, the national park has achieved a special international status as a “large alpine forest conservation area”. In 2017, 5,250 hectares of beech forest in the Kalkalpen National Park were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to a survey supported by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, the “Kalkalpen National Park” brand is held in very high esteem.
“We have worked hard over the past year to make the Kalkalpen National Park brand more attractive in terms of design after 25 years. We have refined the national park logo with elegance and sensitivity and prepared it for the new web-based applications,” says director Josef Forstinger. The original appearance has been retained, but implemented in a more exciting way as “nature style branding” with a more naturalistic golden eagle.
The website www.kalkalpen.at also has a new national park look. Users can access information from the knowledge database using a simplified menu, book events online, and geodata about the protected area is accessible in WebGIS.
