Due to a heat wave lasting several days, with temperatures of up to 45 degrees expected in some places, many schools in Greece remained closed on Wednesday.

Warm air masses from North Africa will continue to bring temperatures of up to 45 degrees in Greece and Turkey until at least Friday. The highest temperatures are expected today, Thursday, before the heat subsides over the weekend, according to the weather service. Then some rain should bring some cooling in western Turkey.
