A car driver reported the incident to the police on Friday around midday: a car was driving on the B1 in the direction of Linz and posed a danger to other road users. It is said that it almost caused a traffic accident.
Shortly after 12 noon, a police patrol found the 55-year-old man in question sitting in a car in Traun and stopped him. He was obviously very drunk. A breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of 2.52 per mille. In addition, the Hungarian citizen from the Linz-Land district did not have a valid driving license.
The 55-year-old stated that the reason for drinking alcohol was a heated argument with his wife.
