Bundesliga transfers: Salzburg’s Sucic is in high demand

Luka Sucic (right) is on the verge of moving into a top league.

Salzburg’s Luka Sucic is currently playing for the Croatian national team at the European Championships. In the first game against Spain (0:3), the Linz native was substituted on after half-time. On the big stage, he can advertise his own cause: the next step in his career is imminent.

Dortmund, AC Milan and Fulham are said to be monitoring the 21-year-old’s development particularly closely, and the midfielder has recently been linked with Monaco, the club of coach Adi Hütter.

Sucic’s contract expires in the summer of 2025. If no agreement can be reached with Salzburg on a longer one-two, this transfer period will be the last chance for a high transfer fee.

GAK signed striker from Mönchengladbach

When GAK returns to the Bundesliga, new signing Jacob Italiano is expected to set the pace offensively: The 22-year-old Australian has signed a three-year contract with the second division champions.

The former Australian youth team player has been playing for the second team of the German Bundesliga club Mönchengladbach in the regional league since July 2019. “His versatility and energy will definitely help us in the Bundesliga,” said GAK sports director Dieter Elsneg.
