Shortly after 5 p.m., the youth from the Urfahr-Umgebung district was riding his moped in the village of Ruderbach on a farm track from Hellmonsödt towards Zwettl an der Rodl. Two cars were driving in front of him. The two cars stopped because a tractor with a slurry tank was coming towards them.
The moped driver probably noticed the cars braking too late and tried to swerve into the middle. He fell and slid under the slurry tank. The 16-year-old was injured and taken to Linz University Hospital after receiving first aid.
