As a spokesman for the Berlin fire department confirmed a report by ARD, a man from the lower tier fell from a height of three meters into the stadium’s moat.
The fan sustained several injuries, was briefly unconscious and was taken to hospital, it was said. It was initially unclear how the fall occurred. According to the Berlin police, however, there is no evidence of third-party negligence.
