The robber entered the Shell gas station on Salzburger Strasse, corner of Wiener Strasse in Linz, shortly before 3 a.m. The gas station employee, a 25-year-old Afghan, was not impressed by the 15-centimeter-long knife with which he was threatened by the unknown man. Instead, he grabbed a cutter knife himself and used it to chase the unknown perpetrator away.

The previously unknown man fled on foot in an unknown direction without taking anything. He spoke broken German and was described as around 25 years old, 1.75 meters tall, slim, with short black hair and a southern-looking skin type. The man was wearing a brown-green hooded jacket, blue jeans and blue sneakers.
