Blau-Weiß Linz finalized the transfer of Ibertsberger

The obligatory transfer photo was already circulating on Thursday, now the final details have been negotiated and the transfer is final: Lukas Ibertsberger is moving from Salzburg to Blau-Weiß Linz and signed a contract that runs until summer 2026.

The 20-year-old defender was loaned to Wolfsberg last season. He made 13 appearances for the Carinthians, and provided the only assist on his debut. “Lukas fits perfectly with our approach of offering young Austrian talents a platform,” said Linz sports director Christoph Schößwendter. Ibertsberger is set to follow in the footsteps of Simon Pirkl on the left side; the regular player from the previous season left Blau-Weiß Linz after his contract ended.
