A 21-year-old was so badly injured by kicks and blows to the head that the emergency doctor had to put him into an artificial deep sleep before he was flown to the Salzburg State Hospital by rescue helicopter, police reported on Monday. The group of around ten perpetrators made off before the police arrived. The young perpetrators had attacked the three young men on the platform for reasons that are still unknown. They even robbed the wallet of the seriously injured 21-year-old Kosovar, who was lying unconscious on the ground, before fleeing towards the city center.

Passenger provided first aid
A passenger provided first aid to the seriously injured man until the Red Cross and the rescue helicopter arrived. The other two victims escaped with minor injuries. The perpetrators are still being sought. According to the police, both the perpetrators and the victims have a migrant background.
