With three baroque concerts in the city parish church and a night concert in the branch church of St. Peter, the “Labyrinthus” association will be rolling out the red carpet for friends of early music in the coming weeks.

Since the founding of the Originalklang Festival in 2005, these concerts in special locations have attracted interested people from the wider area. The finely coordinated programming of the festival by the Freistadt organist and harpsichordist Bernhard Prammer also contributes to this. Year after year, he succeeds in getting top-class musicians excited about this festival and bringing them to Freistadt. They too appreciate the unique charm of this fine concert series in a familiar historical setting. The first concert of the 2024 season will be performed by the ensemble “Fioretto” on July 10th (8.30 p.m.): Under the motto “Garden – Lusth”, the trio will take you to imaginary gardens with Georg Philipp Telemann’s music.

After each of the four concerts, weather permitting, there is the opportunity to chat in front of the church over a free drink and reflect on the experience. One of the special features of the festival is that the Labyrinthus association is very concerned with youth work: young people and students as well as holders of the “Hunger for Art and Culture” pass have free entry to all festival concerts.
