The man from Linz got out of the vehicle at around 7:40 a.m. and opened the hood. Shortly afterwards, a 55-year-old Hungarian crashed his truck into the rear of the delivery van. The 24-year-old was hit by his delivery van and thrown to the ground.
His vehicle was pushed into the grass verge with severe damage. The Hungarian’s truck also came off the road, broke through the game fence and came to a stop in an adjacent field with severe damage.
The 24-year-old was seriously injured and taken to the UKH Linz by ambulance.
A breathalyzer test carried out on the 55-year-old was positive. He will be reported.
