In heavy evening traffic on Thursday, the driver came off the B158 near Bad Ischl and crashed into the guardrail. The woman was lucky in her misfortune – the guardrail prevented her from falling over a steep embankment.
Following drivers and employees of a neighboring painting shop immediately alerted the emergency services and rushed to the woman’s aid. An emergency medical team had to treat the driver and she was taken to hospital.
The fire brigade recovered the car using a crane and the accident site was cleaned up together with the road maintenance department.
